This day trip lets you visit the famous Damnoen Saduak Floating Market which is along the way to Hua Hin and then visit Hua Hin major attractions.
Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is located at Damnoen Saduak District, Ratchaburi Province. King Rama IV commissioned the digging of the canal over hundred years ago. Naturally at the time when there were no paved roads and cars and the canals were the main commuting routes, the floating market came to be the main trading center. These days Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is world famous for its exoticness and vibrancy. The sight of local merchants paddling their wooden boat full of fruits of many contrasting colors has drawn visitors from around the world to the market. Great for photo taking and soaking up the atmosphere, the market promises to fill your senses with exotic sight and sound.
Plearn Wan is a vintage market. It’s a medium sized wooden two-story house, filled with old songs, old stuffs, old desserts, old-style advertisement posters, and bygone era temple fairs. The shops on ground level mostly offer clothes and fashion and the ones on 2nd floor mainly cater food and beverages. There are plenty of local dishes, along with local snacks/dessert. They also have a cute antique motel inside. Plearn Wan is open between 10am and 10pm on weekdays and between 9am and midnight on weekends.
Hua Hin Railway Station was built in the reign of King Rama IV and is today one of the country’s most beautiful train stations marked by its fine architectural details. Apart for the finer details at the platform, the station features a Royal Waiting Room, which was relocated from Sanam Chan Palace in Nakhon Pathom province. This iconic landmark sits on a nice landscape in the center of Hua Hin and it will let you have a glimpse of Hua Hin connection with the Thai royals.
Last but not least the trip won’t be complete without a visit to the beach. We can take you to the Hua Hin beach where there will be more people and activities, or the quieter Suan Son beach. You can take a while to enjoy the sea, take photos, and relax. Then head back to Bangkok after a great day out in Hua Hin.
